you’re pushing me into transparency
it gets harder and harder to see me
trapped in a mold
everything i am
being pressed out of me

let’s see how long she can take it
let’s see how long she can hang on.

the burning agony is so familiar…
she’s got the training~
breathe slow.

gasping with the pain,
through the pain,
there she goes

what an athlete.

if i’m not already mad
i will go mad
from having to do the jobs

“the sleeping”

“the sleeping”

All we do is sleep all day
because we hate our lives,
and nothing works
when we do what our parents say.
We are the sleeping
Children of slaves

“Spirit of immobility”

Save the world
You want me to help save the world

Save the world
From yourself…

Maybe it’s you who needs help
Maybe it’s you who has to change
Maybe it’s you who’s fucking things up
Maybe it’s you
Maybe it’s you

child of immigrants

“child of immigrants”

I’ve been hungry all my life.
Everything I thought I needed
I was denied
Everything that hurt
They taught me was life.

The starving scraping at the insides
Of my stomach
The instinctive flinch
A desperate longing for escape
These are the tools
I have been given
To build my parents
Their American Dream.

Plantations, railroads, scientists
Internment camps
Prison industrial complex
College sports, pro athletes
My future is written in history.

delusion kills the dictionary

“delusion kills the dictionary”

in our delusional

child abuse
is hailed
as good parenting

is shrugged off
as the price of earning a profit

is obstinately referred to

and calories
don’t exist.

in our delusional
we don’t need no dictionary
we don’t need to learn English

we just make up the words
and definitions
as we go along.

so fuck abusive
fuck neglect
fuck money-hungry

we’re perfect parents
we’re perfect citizens
and we demand
perfect children
and the perfect
American Dream.

we’ve earned it.
give it to us
